Puttshack will open a second location in Illinois, expanding its concept that combines a tech-infused mini golf experience with restaurant and bar services.
The second location, which was announced on Tuesday, will open at Westfield Old Orchard, an upscale shopping and entertainment center located in Skokie, Illinois.
Puttshack’s second location is expected to open by the third quarter of the 2024 fiscal year, according to Dan Dawson, VP of Real Estate and Development.
Dawson told What Now Chicago that the new location will have a similar layout, but it will be larger than its Oakbrook Center location, spanning 30,000 square feet.
The space will have two bars and an area for private events that can accommodate approximately 120 people. It will also fill two floors and feature nine-hole mini golf courses, according to Puttschack’s press release.
Dawson said that the company chose the Old Orchard location because Puttshack wants to open multiple locations in the Chicago area and that the north shore of Chicago has always been targeted for expansion plans.
“Old Orchard is the best shopping center at Chicago’s north shore. so when there’s an opportunity available, we decided to jump on it,” he said.
Puttschak first opened in 2018 and introduced its tech-infused mini-golf experience in Europe with four locations in London. It currently has nine U.S. locations, including Chicago, Houston, Denver, Pittsburgh, Scottsdale, St. Louis, Atlanta, Boston, and Miami. Dawson said that his team is pursuing further expansion plans, but further details are yet to be announced.
