Previously, What Now Chicago reported on a new location in River North at 407 N. Clark Street opening this summer. A West Loop location was previously mentioned, but few details were announced. Now, it’s been revealed the company will make its Chicago debut in West Loop at 912 W. Randolph Street sometime in Spring 2023, according to Eater Chicago. The new location will feature an Airstream trailer that masquerades as a taco truck. There are also plans to include a speakeasy at this location.

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila was founded in 2014 by Menin Hospitality’s Keith Menin and Jared Galbut. The two opened the restaurant’s first location in 2015 before expanding throughout South Florida. Showing no signs of slowing down, in addition to the two Chicago openings this spring and summer, Bodega plans to open three additional South Florida locations in the next two years. The company will also expand into its third U.S. state Nashville, Tennessee, in February 2024.

“We are thrilled that our first Bodega Taqueria y Tequila outside of our home state of Florida will be in Chicago’s high energy and food-driven Fulton Market District,” Galbut said in a press release. “Our menu will mirror that of all of our locations, though we will add seasonal options inspired by Chicago’s food and craft cocktail scene.”
