The eatery will open at the lower level of the Dining Pavilion wing in the Woodfield Mall, across from Peppa Pig World of Play. The new TCBY will share a space with Mrs. Fields, both owned by Famous Brands International. Franchisee Lomesh Amin plans to open these new stores in December, possibly January 2023. TCBY/Mrs. Fields will sit beneath a new Falafill East Mediterranean Kitchen, opening in October, and Byrd’s Hot Chicken, opening in December. The mall is also welcoming a new Abercrombie & Fitch and Gilly Hicks.

“Lomesh is one of our best operators nationwide and has been a very successful franchisee for many years,” Brian Mooney, Director of Franchise Operations, tells What Now Chicago. “He also operates a number of successful Mrs. Fields and TCBY locations in the Chicago area. We are very excited about the new Woodfield location.”

When the new TCBY location opens, customers can expect delicious frozen yogurt with vegan, GMO-free, protein-rich, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. The company also offers ‘Super FroYo’ flavors with plenty of fiber, protein, calcium, vitamin D, and a manageable number of calories. Some popular flavors include mountain blackberry, salted caramel, cake batter, and New York cheesecake. Customers can also expect to find cakes and pies. Together with Mrs. Fields, TCBY is set to become the shopping center’s primary dessert destination.
