While an official opening date and what Willow Cafe and Bistro plans to offer have yet to be confirmed, according to the Neighborhood Taprooms website, there are currently four taproom locations within the Chicago metro area.

According to an article from Block Club Chicago, “Lakeview Taproom opened in 2020 as the first outpost of the local chain, with Pillman looking to establish friendly gathering spots that boosted local breweries.”

“The business rebranded in October to Lakeview Taproom and Coffee House, an effort to boost sales and foot traffic by expanding into morning service, Pillman previously told Block Club.”

“After opening his first bar-restaurant concept in Lakeview, Pillman in 2021 opened Lincoln Square Taproom in the former home of German watering hole Huettenbar. Uptown Taproom opened the following year, occupying the storefront that was home to Godfather’s Pizza from 1966 to 2018. Pillman gave away the prized midcentury pizza oven that was left there.”
