Mirella’s Tavern , now open in the heart of Wicker Park, is a restaurant that celebrates the rich tapestry of American cuisine with a global twist.

Owned and operated by Chef José Rivera, affectionately known as “Angry Chef José,” Mirella’s Tavern pays homage to its namesake, Mirella Franco, a beloved member of the community whose legacy lives on through this establishment.

Mirella’s Tavern offers upscale bar food like Duck Confit Quesadillas and burgers, to entrees such as Charbroiled Pork Chops and Pan-Seared Jumbo Scallops. Chef José draws inspiration from cuisines around the world, including Mexico and Japan. Mirella’s Tavern also offers brunch on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, beginning at 10:00 am. Brunch dishes include omelettes, skillets, a variety of pancakes, and specialties such as Eggs Florentine, Shashouka, the Philly Benedict, and more. Mirella’s Tavern brunch menu also incudes salads and sandwiches.

Mirella’s Tavern is open Sunday through Thursday from 4:00pm – 11:00pm, and now open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for brunch at 10:00 am.
