According to a recent article from the Daily Herald, Burger King Franchisee Michael Gould of MJG Enterprises, LLC has acquired 10 Burger King restaurants in Illinois.

A representative of Burger King and/or MJG Enterprises, LLC was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Chicago’s request.
According to the article, “Franchise owner and operator Michael Gould, who became a Burger King franchisee in 2012, acquired the 10 restaurants. He previously operated two restaurants in Evanston and Skokie. This new acquisition brings MJG Enterprises, LLC’s total portfolio to 12 Burger King restaurants in the greater Chicago area.”
“The 10 newly acquired locations will undergo refreshes including digital upgrades to the menu boards and new order kiosks, with select locations undergoing full renovations and remodels aimed at improving the overall guest experience.”
“The restaurants now are open in the communities of Algonquin, Antioch, Crystal Lake, Glendale Heights, Grayslake, Gurnee, McHenry, Round Lake Beach, and Waukegan.”
“Gould, who grew up in Lake Forest, began his career as an assistant manager in Mount Prospect in 1985. He became a managing partner with a Burger King Franchise group in 2004. Gould now looks forward to reinvigorating the brand.”
