Ballyhoo Hospitality’s website, which is behind Gemini Grill, states that the new concept will open in River North sometime in the spring of this year.

“Ballyhoo Hospitality is the destination for feel-good dining. Founded by longtime hospitality industry veterans Ryan and Anna O’Donnell, Ballyhoo delivers the restaurant experience that guests crave. By pairing inspired menus with a unique ambiance, Ballyhoo focuses on all things quality – from the meals to the atmosphere and above all, the service.”

“Ballyhoo is redefining neighborhood dining throughout Chicago and the North Shore with restaurants including Gemini, Coda di Volpe, Old Pueblo Cantina, Sophia Steak, Pomeroy, Buck Russell’s, Pizza by Sal, DeNucci’s, and continues to expand to more communities,” the website adds.

According to the job post, “Gemini Grill is modeled after Ballyhoo’s first concept, Gemini in Lincoln Park, one of Chicago’s most beloved restaurants, and a trusted staple in the community since 2009.”

“Gemini Grill strives to provide high-quality dining experiences that blend style, comfort, and a passion for hospitality. Our location, situated on the ground floor and courtyard of One Chicago, one of the city’s newest residential skyscrapers, provides our guests a unique and comfortable atmosphere.”

Gemini, Gemini Grill’s inspiration, is described as being “Located in the heart of Lincoln Park, Gemini has become everyone’s neighborhood restaurant even if they don’t live around the corner. A made-from-scratch mentality can be found throughout the dinner and brunch menus with dishes that have roots in classic American cuisine but with Midwest seasonality and sensibility.”

“The expansive u-shaped bar serves as a focal point in the 92-seat space designed by 555 International both physically and spiritually, providing a welcoming gathering spot for its many regulars. In warmer months, the pergola-topped sidewalk patio provides a perfect escape for diners as well as their furry four-legged friends.”
