“We aren’t set on it, but right now it’s The Filling Station. It’s a preliminary name,” Nick shared with What Now Chicago of the concept name. The Filling Station is a nod to the old renovated gas station the restaurant will be housed in.

Food and drink direction are currently unknown. Philippas and partner in the concept, Atonson, are planning to offer brunch on the weekends. “We need to decide on the menu in the next few weeks.” Nick told What Now Chicago, “The food direction will determine the entire vibe of the restaurant.”

“This is still early in the concept phase, so things are subject to change at any time,” Philippas said.

Nick Philippas is a managing partner at Northbranch Pizza and Burger Co., and Joe Donut Cafe and Restaurant chain. Pastry chef and partner, Kyleen Atonson was the champion of “Chopped Sweets: Winter Celebration” in 2019.
