Tacombi’s Windy City expansion plans come on the heels of announcing a Fulton Market/West Loop outpost late last year.
When Tacombi’s media team at Kinship Company was contacted for comment by What Now Chicago they replied, “We don’t have details to share just yet.”
Tacombi’s menu offers an array of traditional taqueria menu items from tacos and tostadas to beverages like agua frescas. “Our taqueros proudly work every day to preserve and share Mexico’s culinary traditions,” the Tacombi website shares of their cooks. They offer sustainable ingredients free of hormones, antibiotics, genetic modification as well as artificial additives and preservatives.
Tacombi has been in business since 2006. The hospitality company originated in Yucatan, Mexico and looks to carry on the traditions of Mexican cooking.
Dieter Wiechmann shared at the end of his call with What Now Chicago, “We’re really excited about coming to Chicago!” Joe Iazetta, Tacombi’s Chief Development Officer and applicant listed on the building permit filing, was unavailable for further comment on the new location.
