Northbrook will soon have its very own authentic, Neapolitan pizzeria when Napolita Pizzeria & Wine Bar, the creation of Mike Chookaszian, Luke Cholodecki, and Nicholas Hynes, expands to open a second location. Napolita first opened in Wilmette in December 2015. After just over six years, the pizzeria is ready to grow.

According to an LLC filing with the State of Illinois, Napolita Northbrook will open at 1349 Shermer Road. Although What Now Chicago reached out to Chookaszian and Hynes for comment, an opening date for Napolita the second has not been announced.

“At Napolita, we serve Neapolitan pizza made fresh and naturally fermented in accordance with the strict standards of the authentic Vera Pizza Napoletana,” shares a recent post from the eatery. The pies are baked in a genuine VPN oven using fresh ingredients from Italy.

You can find pies like the Burratina (who in their right mind could turn down anything topped with burrata?), Prosciutto E Rucola (ditto with prosciutto), and Pomodoro Spinaci. Paste, risotto, and an array of secondi dishes are also available to order from Napolita’s generous menu. And the desserts certainly won’t disappoint. You can find authentic Italian options like tiramisu, cannoli, panna cotta, and affogato.

Oh, we almost forgot to mention–Napolita’s Monday happy hour features $12 pies and 1/2-off wine by the bottle.

According to Better Chicago, the team behind Napolita is also planning a collaboration with Double Clutch Brewery in Millennium Park.
