According to a recent permit filing, Monochrome Brewing will soon open its doors in the Pilsen area at 2101 S Carpenter Street.
A representative of Monochrome Brewing was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Chicago’s request.
While an official opening date has yet to be released, according to Monochrome Brewing’s GoFundMe campaign, “Monochrome Brewing is a brewery focused on creating an amazingly beautiful, high-end beer with a focus on artistic presentations.”
“We want to name our taproom the Monochrome Ale Studio. We have ideas for things like a “beer lookbook,” color scheme cans, monthly changes to decor/paint scheme to match new releases, and much more.”
“I built a nearly 40-page, comprehensive business plan, spent months reading and researching, and just recently met another impassioned brewer with a fervor to start a brewery, Vinay Sharma. Together, with the help of a third friend, Michael Ojdana, we are working on a new concept for a brewery that allows us all to explore this passion as well as maintain our other jobs/interests.”
“Vinay is a future doctor; Michael is a successful graphic artist and businessperson; and I have about 100 other entrepreneurial things I’m working on as well. So, we came up with this “low-risk” three-phase brewery – Monochrome Brewing Co.”
