The 1,500 square foot space is a carryout and delivery only location and does not include a dining room. The menu is highlighted with a deep dish pizza and offers thin crust pizza along with appetizers, salads, pastas and desserts. The new pizzeria will offer carryout, curbside pick-up, no-contact delivery, and drop-off catering services in the Crown Point area.

Lou Malnati’s will celebrate opening day on Monday, February 6, with events and festivities. The new Crown Point location will be open from 4pm – 10pm with activities starting at 2pm, including a complimentary Ice Rink and Skate Rental, Hot Chocolate Truck and raffle games. In addition, guests will be entered to win raffle prizes for local gift cards, Lou’s swag, plus the chance for five lucky fans to win Free Pizza for a Year. The celebration will continue with a Special Events Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Raffle winners will be pulled every hour between 4pm – 8pm. In addition, the first 100 carry out orders will receive a limited edition Lou Malnati’s t-shirt to commemorate the new store opening.

In addition to serving up their deep dish pizza in Crown Point, the company believes in becoming ingrained in the local communities they serve. The pizzeria is known for giving back and supports local charities and schools through fundraisers, sponsorships and volunteer involvement. Lou Malnati’s is excited to participate in local fundraising opportunities with Crown Point Student Ministries on February 7th and Golden Hope Ministries on February 8th with 20% of sales being donated to the organizations. In addition, the company has already partnered with the Special Events Office of Crown Point, Bulldog Park and The Community Help Network. The Malnati tradition of generosity will continue through youth incentive programs, generous donation programs, and working with local charitable organizations in Crown Point and the surrounding communities.

Malnati’s will hire approximately 50 local employees for the Crown Point pizzeria and is looking to fill various positions including delivery drivers, kitchen crew and team members.

The Malnati family has become known for their original deep dish pizza recipe, quality and hospitality since opening in 1971. The company looks forward to opening another location in the Northwest Indiana area and serving more of the South Shore residents. “We’re excited to expand in Northwest Indiana and join the growing Crown Point community with our authentic Chicago-style deep dish pizza,” said owner, Marc Malnati in a statement. “It’s been rewarding to be embraced by the people of Northwest Indiana and we can’t wait to open our new location in this thriving town. We look forward to serving them with our food, family and hospitality,” added Malnati.

Lou Malnati’s opened its first outpost in Indiana in Schererville in July 2019. Since then, it has opened several locations in the Indianapolis area, including Carmel in October 2020, West 86th Street in March 2021, Broad Ripple in November 2021, and Greenwood in June 2022. The company is also planning a new store opening in Avon, a western suburb of Indianapolis, in early Spring 2023.
