A representative of Kura Revolving Sushi Bar was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Chicago’s request.

While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, Kura is currently opening another location in Skokie.

According to an article from the Chicago Tribune, Kura Sushi for Naperville has a proposed drive-thru window option. When visiting the restaurant, patrons can expect to be served with food off a conveyor belt or by robots.

NCTV17 and James Sean Devine confirm more information on the drive-thru option, stating “Devine said Kura Sushi plans for the drive-thru to function as a pick-up window for advance orders, rather than a traditional drive-up and order type window.”

“These sorts of windows, he said, proved popular during the height of pandemic protocols. A dedicated exterior spot for motorists to pick up their food with ease would supplement the overall operations plan. Devine noted that the restaurant would feature touch panel ordering.”

Kura Sushi’s dishes adhere to the Japanese virtue of serving natural and healthy meals prepared with fresh, premium ingredients. The menu consists of sushi options, sides, soups and noodles, and desserts. Some of these options include nigiri, sushi rolls, hand rolls, and more.
