The new location is expected to move into the former home of J & J Electronics, according to a recent liquor license application. Company President Kimberly Kenner-Wash tells What Now Chicago she hopes to open the new location as soon as possible, but likely “in a month or so.” This location will sit in between the previous two, which are located at Harvey and West Town.

Joe Willie’s Seafood Bar takes pride in serving fresh seafood of all varieties. Some of their top dishes, according to their website, are the Sammie that Sea Head (shrimp seasoned to perfection), Pookie Man (a seafood boil platter), Big Boy Bird (Fried chicken wings in Joe Willies secret BBQ sauce), and the crab and shrimp combo. The recent liquor license suggests the business will likely serve beer at this location.

When the new location finally opens, it will be an excellent opportunity for the business, considering there are barely any other seafood restaurants nearby, other than Brody’s Fish & Chicken and Haire’s Gulf Shrimp. Guests can likely expect the same menu and hours when the new South Side location opens.
