A representative of Cozy Corner Restaurant & Pancake House was not immediately available to comment upon What Now Chicago’s request.

According to the article, this will be the fifth location for Cozy Corner. The new location is slated to open sometime this fall. The goal is to open sometime in November.

“Cozy Corner’s newest location will be at 4048 N. Pulaski Road, at the former site of the Salvation Army’s Irving Park Corps Community Center, said owner Peter Iatrides.”

“Iatrides bought the property in 2018 with plans to demolish the existing building and replace it with a restaurant. Those plans were delayed considerably due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The city in July 2021 approved a permit to build the restaurant and add a parking lot, drive lanes, sidewalks, utilities and site lighting.”

“This spring, crews have been seen building out the restaurant, and work is ongoing, according to city records and neighbors. The restaurant will be a 5,000-square-foot, single-story building; once built, it will create 25 jobs in the neighborhood, according to city records and Iatrides.”

“Cozy Corners’s original Logan Square location opened in 1977 and, since then, the diner has expanded to locations in Hermosa Park, Edgewater, and Norwood Park.”
