A representative of the restaurants was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Chicago’s request.

According to the article, behind the change is GW Property Group, with the three restaurants being Guzman y Gomez, Raising Cane’s, and Cava. The construction of the building will be during the winter, setting the stage for opening in the summer of 2024.

According to GW Property Group’s website, GW Properties has emerged as a formidable player, leveraging a network of deep-rooted and diverse relationships to cultivate expertise in the retail and mixed-use property sector.

With a track record spanning over the past decade, the principals at GW have left a mark on the Chicagoland area, participating in the brokerage, investment, and development of real estate projects collectively valued at over $500 million. These ventures typically encompass deal sizes ranging from $500,000 to $5 million.

These three eateries are also set to occupy free-standing buildings that will face Mannheim Road. Cafe la Cave has been open for more than four decades, prior to when Cave closed its doors in March. In a recent development, the local council has given its seal of approval for two significant aspects of a forthcoming project. The first of these approvals pertains to the subdivision of the property designated for the project, while the second focuses on signing regulations to govern the site, according to the Daily Herald’s article.
