A representative of Batter & Berries was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Chicago’s request.

While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, according to the article, “Originally founded more than a decade ago in Lincoln Park, Batter & Berries is known for creative and decadent options like French toast flights and deconstructed omelets. Owners and spouses Craig and Dr. Tanya Richardson also operate an outpost in suburban Olympia Fields.”

According to the Batter & Berries website, “Established in 2012 by Dr. Tanya & Craig Richardson, who had the desire to add an eclectic world-class restaurant to the vibrant Chicago brunch scene.  The idea was simple: offer the freshest food possible with flavors that people would come from all over the world to experience, and want to come back for more.”

“Always a supporter of community and local businesses, we have taken the idea to the next level with cultivated partnerships.  We’ve collaborated with several local artisans, craftspeople, and purveyors to provide a uniquely Chicago experience.”

“Born and raised in Chicago, Dr. Richardson believes in giving people the best experience possible. She is the creative force behind the bright floral decor, hand-crafted tables, and artwork selections. Known as “The Que” to outsiders, to us, he is “Mr. Happy”. Always wearing something purple, you can sometimes catch him dining, conversing with guests, or ensuring things run smoothly.”
