A representative of Americano was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Chicago’s request.

While an official opening date and overall information about Americano is limited, according to the permit filing, “Americano 1816” comes from 1816 Hospitality Group LLC, which according to Chicago’s business search has two agents, Adolfo Garcia and Sean Mulroney.

Additionally, a recent tweet from B Talent states “Adolfo Garcia is opening a new restaurant Americano 1816 on the ground floor of Hotel Lincoln in Lincoln Park (Chicago). The last restaurant there (The Kennison) closed just over a year ago; I’m going to guess it’ll have Latin American food – we’ll see.”

B Talent followed up with additional information in a separate tweet, stating “Official name as of now — “Americano Oyster and Wine Bar”. Looks like it’ll be more seafood/American and of course wine bar. I was wrong.”

According to the company website for Americano Oyster and Wine Bar, “We believe in the power of a great story. That’s why we want to share ours with you. Step into our cozy space and experience the magic of Americano on Lincoln Park. From our exquisite oysters to our carefully curated selection of specialty wines, every bite and sip is a journey of flavors.”

“Our team, fueled by passion and creativity, has crafted a unique atmosphere where design meets comfort. Join us and feel the warmth of community as you indulge in our incredible bites and sip on the finest wines.”

The company’s Instagram biography section states, “An elevated American oyster and wine bar coming late 2023 to the heart of Lincoln Park at Hotel Lincoln.”
