A representative of Tangled Roots Brewing Company was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Chicago’s request.

According to the article, Tangled Roots Brewing Company will open sometime this summer. “In addition to its beers, crafted from hops and barley grown on a family farm in Ottawa, Tangled Roots will offer a full-service menu. The brewpub has other locations in Ottawa, Glenview, Lockport, and DeKalb.”

Tangled Roots company website states, “From the start, our goal has always been to ensure that great beer and food can be enjoyed by as many people as possible, whether or not they consider themselves ‘foodies’ or beer connoisseurs.”

“That’s why our Brew Master pays as much attention to the lighter, fresher brews as he does to our award-winning IPAs and Winter Porters, ensuring we have a wide range of tastes to appeal to everyone. It’s also why our menus don’t just contain adventurous gastronomic creations, but also familiar favorites – though all given a distinct chef ‘twist’. And it’s why each of our stunning restaurants and brewpubs is unique, drawing its name and concept from the town’s local history.”

“We also have been inspired by the nature around us. As such, we often like to say “Embrace Your Nature”. This phrase is more than just a tagline – it’s everything we are and everything we do.”

“As Illinois’ leading brewer of Farm to Foam beers, we embrace the nature around us, brewing with hops and barley grown on our farm here in Starved Rock Country. Similarly, our unique chef-crafted menus are inspired by ingredients sourced from local farmers and growers.”

“Tangled Roots is widely known for its Farm to Foam beers. Before we started brewing in Illinois we started farming, growing barley and several varietals of hops on our small farm near Ottawa, IL. We now use these ingredients to create uniquely local brews, like our signature pale ale Forty 1 Eighty 8.”
