According to a recent article from the Chicago Eater, Sancerre Hospitality will soon open a new concept in Fulton Market at 1045 W. Fulton Street.

A representative of Sancerre Hospitality/Day Off Group was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Chicago’s request.

According to the article, “Flamm and his team, the group formerly known as Sancerre Hospitality, aren’t ready to share a lot of details. They don’t even have a name to divulge. The only concrete facts are that the team, now known as Day Off Group, has signed a lease for 7,000 square feet of space at 1045 W. Fulton Street, a new office building that’s nearly 150 feet tall on the corner of Fulton and Aberdeen.”

“Day Off — which includes Flamm, Frank and Kara Callero, and Steve Zaleski — also plans for about 3,000 square feet of outdoor space at the unnamed restaurant. Flamm says they’re opening for a late summer or fall debut.”

This will be the third restaurant for Joe Flamm and the company, with the other two concepts being Rose Mary and BLVD Steakhouse. “I can’t really say much about the concept,” Flamm reiterates in the Chicago Eater article, “But, for me, it’s that Rose Mary was a story I wanted to tell, and now I have another story I want to tell.”

Day Off Group’s company website states, “Founded by Frank Callero, Kara Callero, Steven Zaleski and Chef Joe Flamm, Day Off Group is a Chicago-based restaurant group that develops concepts combining culinary excellence with impeccable service and distinctive designs to create one-of-a-kind experiences.”

“BLVD Steakhouse, the group’s flagship restaurant, opened in June 2017 in Chicago’s Fulton Market district to critical acclaim, earning Eater Chicago’s “Design of the Year” award, recognition as one of Chicago Magazine’s “Best New Restaurants,” and three stars in the Chicago Tribune’s “RedEye.”

“Day Off’s second concept, Rose Mary, is inspired by Bravo Top Chef Winner and Day Off Group’s Culinary Director/Chef Partner Joe Flamm’s Italian heritage and the bold, bright flavors of Croatian cuisine.”

“Since opening in April 2021, Rose Mary has remained one of the most coveted reservations in Chicago, receiving wide praise that includes being named a “Most Highly Anticipated Restaurant Opening” by both Food & Wine and Robb Report, a “Best New Restaurant” by the Chicago Tribune, AFAR Magazine, and TimeOut Global, and one of “The 38 Essential Restaurants in Chicago” by Eater Chicago.”
