Pinnacle Hospitality Group formed six years ago when Jim Sprick and Jim Sill decided they both needed a career change. The result? The pair have been introducing the A&W brand as well as Long John Silvers to new cities throughout Missouri, Illinois, and California—at this point the group operates 23 locations of the quick-service family restaurants. So it only makes sense that Pinnacle is responsible for the new A&W slated to open on Carlyle Ave. in Belleville, IL this coming spring.

A&W offers a family-friendly menu of what it claims as “all-American food.” The root beer, made fresh, always arrives to your table in a frosted pint, and burgers and hotdogs are at the top of the national chain’s menu. The brand is experiencing a “resurgence,” which, in part, Pinnacle is fueling.

Sprick and Sill have multiple locations in development in St. Louis and Arnold, MO. A&W is headquartered in Lexington, KY and has opened 60 stores since 2011. According to QSR Magazine, the brand aims to open an additional 20 by the end of 2021.

No word yet on the exact opening date for Belleville’s Carlyle Ave. location, which is taking over the space that last housed the Scott Credit Union East Belleville Branch. You’ll just have to keep an eye out for announcements as you drive on by.
