According to a recent post from Chicago Food Chat, Burger Bite will be opening another location in Lincolnwood, located at 3901 W Touhy Ave.
A representative of Burger Bite was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Chicago’s request.
While an official opening date has yet to be released, according to an article from Block Club Chicago, the owner of Burger Bite is Edgar Bonilla.
“The menu features classic diner fare, including meat and veggie burgers, sandwiches, and hot dogs. There are also sides — including fries, chicken strips, nachos, and onion rings — desserts, and milkshakes.”
“Bonilla has been in the restaurant industry for nearly half his life, working as a server for the past 17 years. He spent 10 of those working at neighborhood eateries, including the nearby Cozy Corner. But he knew he didn’t want to serve for his entire life, he said.”
“A family business, Bonilla manages the burger joint with help from his wife, Bernice Bonilla. The couple has two kids, 8 and 14, and the older one helps out now that she’s out of school, Bonilla said,” the article from Block Club Chicago states.
According to LoopNet, the property that will house the new location of Burger Bite was built in 1997. It is listed to have approximately 1,800 square feet of leasable area and is currently stated to be off the market.
The LoopNet listing goes on to describe the property as an “Opportunity to enter this very popular stabilized market with high demand for retail, medical, and restaurant uses. The space is fully equipped for a restaurant or may be converted to another use.”
