“Our goal opening date for Chicago is to open in the upcoming weeks, as we are finishing up the last of construction. With Roggenart, we like to create an atmosphere that we consider to be a “third place.”

“A majority of people have their routine, where you go to work and then you go home, but we want to create a place where people can go hang out that’s comforting with great energy, beautiful aesthetics, amazing food coffee, and people,” managing partner Brody Tennant told What Now Chicago.

“Everything we make is from scratch. We aim to provide a combination of pastries that are beautiful as well as unique that people might not have had before. Roggenart tries to specialize in the European fusion of different cuisines and pastries. We feel that we bring something unique to Chicago that people will enjoy.”

“Roggenart is well-known for our wide array of croissants. We make our own mayo, make our chipotle sauce, and try to make everything unique as much as possible. The thought is to be able to stem from traditional baking and add a unique and authentic combination.”

“Roggenart is a fun and exciting place to meet with loved ones and friends and enjoy food, a.k.a a “third place.” We have the opportunity to expand the concept since it has been well received in Maryland and DC, so we are looking to make the first step into becoming a national concept.”

“Chicago is an amazing area and is one of the nicest and most beautiful cities in America with an amazing food scene. We think the mix of the workforce and the overall population in Chicago is exactly our clientele. It will be a perfect opportunity for Roggenart, as we haven’t seen anything like it here.”

“Overall, we are excited to be able to expand to Chicago! In the future, we would like to expand throughout other parts of the area,” Brody added.
