The Chicagoland-based pizza chain Paisans Pizzeria & Bar is getting ready to open its newest location in Belmont Cragin at 2150 N Cicero Ave.
The company’s eighth location will move into the former home of Car Outlet, according to a recent permit application. Owner Pete Fejzuloski tells What Now Chicago he hopes to open this location in mid-July 2023. The family-owned business started in 1985 when Pete’s father, Luigi, began making pizzas in a small corner store in Cicero. Eventually, his son started helping before helping expand the business for the next several decades. Now, Paisans Pizzeria & Bar has sites in Berwyn, Brookfield, Cicero, South Loop, Lisle, and West Lawn.
When the new location opens this summer, customers can expect a variety of pizza, salads, sandwiches, burgers, wings, and other entrees, such as Buffalo shrimp, dragon fries, and skirt steak. The restaurant will also be available for banquets and events, while Paisans Pizzeria & Bar will continue to be available for catering. Much like his father, Pete has enlisted his own family to help expand the business even further.
“Staying true to the idea of family, Pete brought in his boys to help him take the Paisans concept to the next level,” according to the company’s website. “Mentoring his sons in their new roles, Pete involves them in every aspect of the restaurant business, including designing, developing, and building each of the Paisans’ locations. Pete makes sure the boys focus on all of the finer details, from customer service to pepperoni placement to the unique design details at all of our stores.”
