Taco John’s is one of the fastest growing quick-service restaurants in the Midwest today, founded in 1968 by John Turner. Originally known as Taco House at the time, the chain began as a small taco stand in Cheyenne, Wyoming. In 1969, Turner sold the franchise rights to Woodson-Holmes Enterprises, helmed by James Woodson and Harold Holmes, who would develop Taco House into the brand we recognize today – Taco John’s International.
Since then, Taco John’s has been steadily expanding, introducing generations of Americans to its signature take on “West-Mex” cuisine, which it defines as having fresh, bold flavors. Perhaps most intriguingly, the chain has taken credit for the coinage of the phrase “Taco Tuesday,” and has even gone as far as copyrighting the phrase in every state except New Jersey. The brand is best known for its signature “potato olés,” deep-fried potato nuggets coated with a proprietary blend of spices and seasonings.
Now, it appears that the popular franchise will be joining the big leagues in Chicago, opening up a brand new location at O’Hare International Airport. Moving into the space at 10000 W O’Hare Airport, the new location will be lead by Rad Pandit. Pandit is the Business Developer at the Pandit Group of Companies, and previously operated the World Food Market in East Moline.
Pandit is bringing with him decades of experience of business management and development. Taco John’s, meanwhile, is one of the fastest-growing franchises in the country and is always expanding.
