This will be the company’s third location in Illinois, with sites in Naperville and Vernon Hills. The area where the new Lazy Dog is moving to has since been redeveloped to include several other new eateries, including Panera and Smash Burger. Lazy Dog will be moving into an area that was once the home of Macy’s Furniture Gallery, opening in early 2023, according to the company’s website. The restaurant chain is also working on new locations in Alpharetta, GA; San Jose, CA; Downtown Los Angeles, Orlando, FL; and Garland, TX.

When the new restaurant opens next year, customers can expect many American classics such as burgers, ribs, pot roasts, sandwiches, salads, and more. The California-based company currently has at least 40 locations in eight different states. Recently, the restaurant announced it is bringing back its popular DIY Gingerbread House Kit for a fourth season to benefit Habitat for Humanity. This nonprofit organization helps families build and improve their homes.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with Lazy Dog Restaurants,” Julie Laird Davis, vice president of corporate and cause marketing partnerships at Habitat for Humanity International, said in a press release. “Their continued support will help us further our mission of building homes, community and hope alongside families in the U.S. and around the world.”
