Foxtrot Market, the convenience store company that’s been sweeping Chicago since the opening of its first brick-and-mortar in 2015, is currently in the liquor licensing phase for a Lake View storefront and patio. According to two applications filed with the City of Chicago, you’ll soon be able find yourself shopping online or in-person at 2801 N Broadway, smack dab on the corner of N Broadway and W Diversey Parkway.

Be it Near Northside, The Loop, Old Town, or River North—if it feels like Foxtrot Markets are cropping up everywhere, that’s because they are. The company, headed by founder and CEO Mike LaVitola, recently announced plans to 50 locations over the next two years, even beyond Chicagoland. NYC, Austin, Boston, Miami, Los Angeles, and Houston are all on the docket.

These very convenient convenience stores actually started as an online ordering business only but soon added the in-person experience. Foxtrot has working to amp that up ever since. In addition to your standard market goods, you can order coffee and other meals from Foxtrot and, according to the N. Broadway liquor license, enjoy them on this store’s outdoor patio. Those meals cover breakfast, lunch, dinner, and more. Foxtrot is also known for its curated selection of fine wines.

What Now Chicago reached out to LaVitola for comment but did not hear back by deadline, so the jury’s out on when exactly the N. Broadway store will open for business. Keep an eye on Foxtrot’s social media for updates.
