Somos Hospitality Group brings a sophisticated social experience to River North with the official launch of Loft 22. Located on the 2nd floor of UMMO, Loft 22 brings charm and charisma to the popular downtown scene with an elegant lounge that harmoniously blends exceptional food, eclectic hand-crafted cocktails, impeccable design, and captivating music.

Designed to welcome guests in an intimate and relaxed setting, the avant-garde lounge endeavors to be a place for the community to gather through conversation over drinks, culinary excellence, and artistic expression. As a part of the regular programming, Loft 22 features live jazz on Thursday evenings and a live DJ on Friday and Saturday evenings from 10pm – 2am (these events may occasionally be canceled due to private events). Guests can expect a range of exclusive events such as vinyl sessions, live music performances, pop-ups, guest mixologists, Disco Aperitivo hours, and spirit collaborations.
At the core of the Loft 22 experience is an exemplary cocktail program featuring the Disco Aperitivo Menu – a harmonious blend of easy-to-drink and refreshing cocktails. The essence lies in the fusion of traditional Italian Aperitivo cocktails and Loft 22’s unique take on disco classics, resulting in a menu that’s as diverse and vibrant as the atmosphere. Menu highlights include the Hugo Spritz ($18) – Bombay Sapphire, St. Germain, mint, Prosecco, and soda; Devil in Prada ($16) – Herradura Silver, lime, pomegranate, hibiscus, habanero, and ginger beer; Purgatorio ($18) – Yola mezcal, Gran Classic, Carpano Bianco, Benedictine, and Calabrian chili mist.
In addition to the Disco Aperitivo menu, guests are welcome to a bevy of classic cocktails and spirit-free drinks as well as bottle service. A talented team of mixologists experiment with ingredients and flavors to regularly bring new and exciting elements to the Loft 22 experience. Highlights include the Tequila Daisy ($17) – “way better than a Marg” with Astral and saffron; Espresso Martini ($18) – “coffee, spice, and everything nice” featuring Ketel One, Mr. Black, BroVo Boomerang, and espresso; Nover Club ($15) with dried raspberries, citrus, nutmeg Seedlip Spice, raspberry, lemon, and eggwhite foam (spirit-free); and On Thyme ($15) with strawberries, earthy garden tones, citrus Seedlip Garden, thyme, strawberry, lemon, and soda (spirit free).
Three distinct spaces cohesively blend to create Loft 22: the Atrium, the Galleria, and the Terrazza. The Atrium, at the heart of the space, features a full-length skylight providing breathtaking views of the stars. The walls are adorned with finely curated artwork and a show-stopping, backlit wall installation. The Galleria echoes the warmth of a personal apartment, where patrons can enjoy a friendly game of pool while savoring one of the many bites and cocktails. Plush couches are nestled by the fireplace for a cozy setting that encourages conversation and every nook showcases artwork and vintage records. Finally, The Terrazza, with plush booths and carefully placed tables, is situated along accordion-style windows that open to River North’s energetic scene during warmer months.
