Chef Angela Diaz will open a storefront location of You’re A Cookie!, her online and wholesale cookie business that seeks to “kick exclusivity out the door.” You’re A Cookie! is headed to 3053 N California Ave. in Chicago.

Chef Diaz, who trained at the Culinary Institute of America, is on a mission to share delicious cookies with every person. “We…bake inclusivity into every bite, because dessert shouldn’t have restrictions, just happiness. We make cookies full of nostalgia for kids and adult kids alike,” shares the company’s website. “The kicker? All of our cookies are 100% gluten free, nut free or vegan. You can’t taste the difference, all you taste is a gooey center and crispy edges.”

These cookies cover all the basic flavors, like Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal, and Sprinkle Crunch, before they take off into the inventive world of Cinnamon Apple Cider and Pumpkin Spice Snickerdoodle. And you can order them made with or without butter. You can even purchase these confections by the dough and bake them up yourself.

The retail store, which will also house the company’s packing and distribution center, will be open for pick-up every day, however it will only be open for counter service Friday-Sunday initially, reports Eater Chicago. “I’m going to start small and then expand,” Diaz told Eater.

Eater Chicago reports a late October or early November opening for the space, depending on permit approvals. Keep an eye on You’re A Cookie!’s social media for updates on these developments.
