According to a recent lease signing, Wu’s House plans to expand with another location at 401-465 E Illinois Street.
A representative of Wu’s House was not immediately available to comment upon What Now Chicago’s request.
While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, Wu’s House will be occupying over 10,00 square feet at the Lofts At River East. Wu’s House is expected to be open for business in Q2 2025.
Wu’s House currently operates in more than a dozen other locations, but this will be their first operation serving Korean BBQ.
Wu’s House company website states that they currently have five open locations, with Naperville and the Lofts At River East locations on the horizon.
An article from the Chicago Tribune written in 2019 states that, “Aday said Wu’s House offers a wide array of Asian cuisine choices, including sushi and Thai, but it specializes in hibachi cooking. Aday said a special offer at Wu’s is an all-you-can-eat lunch that includes sushi, sashimi and chef rolls.”
