“This announcement is great news for Skokie and the entire region,” said Skokie Mayor George Van Dusen in a statement. “I applaud the Westfield team’s efforts to adapt and find creative solutions to the changing retail environment and their commitment to Westfield Old Orchard’s continued growth as a premier retail, dining and entertainment center.”

Westfield Old Orchard is also gearing up for a handful of pre-holiday openings, including fine dining restaurant and steakhouse The Capital Grille, bakery Molly’s Cupcakes, menswear brand Psycho Bunny and denim brand Levi’s. The stores will join the growing lineup of Westfield Old Orchard’s retail partners including recently opened American luxury brand Tory Burch and athleisure brand favorite Alo Yoga.

“Holiday shopping is a booming time for customers and retailers alike, and we are looking forward to welcoming North Shore shoppers into the center with our new retailer and dining additions,” said Westfield Old Orchard Senior General Manager, Serge Khalimsky. “Barnes & Noble has been a staple at the center for many years, so we are thrilled for its return in time for holiday shopping, and we are honored to be the home of the Midwest’s first Bloomie’s location. The new openings and longstanding retail partners will continue to provide a best-in-class shopping experience for the North Shore community, and we can’t wait to share even more updates soon.”
