According to a recent permit filing, The Nook plans to debut in the Edgewater area at 1511 W Balmoral Avenue on the first floor.

A representative of The Nook was unable to provide any additional information at this time beyond stating that it will be some time before The Nook has its grand opening.

While an official opening date and what The Nook plans to offer have yet to be confirmed, according to the permit filing, The Nook will be a tavern. The Nook has also filed for an outdoor patio permission.

The Nook was filed for under 4555 N Ravenswood Inc. Elizabeth Finan, Michael Finan, and Julia Velazquez are listed on The Nook’s permit filing. Elizabeth is stated to be the president, Michael is the secretary, and Julia is a shareholder.

When doing more research on the address listed for The Nook’s permit, according to Yelp and Google, the address is home to Marty’s Martini Bar. Yelp has not listed Marty’s Martini Bar as closed.
