Coming soon to Naperville will be the town’s very first Smashburger, an outpost from the popular Denver-based chain restaurant. The location follows the opening of a store in Orland Park last month and anticipates the opening of one in Oak Brook.

An advertisement placed with Craiglist for cooks and cashiers claims you’ll soon be able to get your hands on a smashing good burger at 2736 Showplace Dr.

Smashburger, founded in 2007 in Denver, was born out of the desire to create a “better burger experience.” Each hand-packed ball of 100% Certified Angus Beef is smashed fresh, never frozen, and cooked up on a hot, seasoned grill. Today the company operates with the goal of opening 20 restaurants a year.

Menu highlights include the Classic Smash, Double Bacon Smash, and Smoked Bacon Brisket Burger, not to mention grilled and crispy chicken sandwiches, turkey and black bean burgers, fresh crisp salads, and signature sides like Brussels sprouts, rosemary drizzled Smash Fries, and hand-spun shakes made with the venerable Haagen-Dazs ice cream.

We reached out to Smashburger President Carl Bachmann for comment, however he had not responded at the time of publication. The exact opening timeline for Naperville remains unclear, but we say, bring on those burgers.
