Poke Burrito Chicago is a popular Chicago-based poke restaurant that offers a unique twist on the traditional bowls. Described as a unique Asian fusion restaurant, Poke Burrito offers “the highest quality, fresh ingredients with healthy steamed sushi rice and an array of savory sauces to create a perfect combination of flavors in every bite.” And how exactly do they ensure that every bite is so tasty? By wrapping it in a burrito of course!
Poke Burrito was founded by Chicago native Jimmy Chen to offer a new take on the popular seafood dish. The restaurant serves your dish in two distinct formats – bowl or burrito – and invites guests to customize their favorite combinations to their hearts’ content. Featuring a wrap of crunchy seaweed over sushi rice, the poke burrito is a kind of long sushi, keeping all the ingredients secured under the tightly wrapped seaweed. Of course, the traditional bowls are always available for guests who prefer not to eat with their hands.
Today, Poke Burrito operates five unique stores across Chicago and can be found in North Center, South Loop, Oak Park, Deer Park, and Park Ridge. Now, it seems that Jimmy and the team are preparing to open a brand new Poke Burrito in Glenview. Moving into the space at 2081 Tower Drive, the new location will be replacing Cookies & Cupcakes By Design and should offer about 1,782 square feet of space.
