A permit application filed with the City of Chicago in May indicates Eris Erkoca, owner of Maison Parisienne, has plans to renovate an existing restaurant space at 901 W. Armitage Avenue in Ranch Triangle. The work for the permit, which was issued on Tuesday, November 23, is described as “interior remodel of existing vacant restaurant space for new coffee shop on 1st floor of existing 3-story masonry building with basement.”

Although a name for the coffee shop is not listed on the application, the shop could be a third location of Erkoca’s French café and pastry shop Maison Parisienne. Erkoca opened a second location of the shop on N. Clark Street just last year.

Maison Parisienne offers Chicago “a little taste of France” and specializes in homemade, French-style pastries. In addition to croissants, croque-monsieur, and baguettes, you can find a menu of espresso drinks as well as beverages like Lavender London Fog and Lavender Rose Orange Juice. Maison Parisienne also boasts a menu of macarons and quiches. “Our sacred recipes originated in Paris and we bring the same authentic taste to Chicago. Thanks to our European Butter, Artisan Unbleached Flour and French Chocolate,” reads the company’s website.

We reached out to Erkoca but did not hear back at the time of publication, so the plans for the new space on Armitage Avenue remain unclear. Keep an eye on Maison Parisienne’s social media and, as always, check back in with What Now Chicago for updates.
