While an official opening date and what Moon Star plans to offer have yet to be confirmed, according to the permit filing, Kristan and Kevin Vaughan are listed as the two managing members. When doing a bit more research on Kristan and Kevin, it looks like they are both behind Vaughan Hospitality.

Vaughan Hospitality is behind five other restaurant concepts in the area, according to the company’s website. The five concepts listed on the website are Chicago Brewhouse, Emerald Loop, Corcoran’s Grill and Pub, Vaughan’s Pub Lakeview, and Vaughan’s Pub Northwest Side.

1617 North Wells Street is marked as a storefront retail/residential property, according to LoopNet. The property was built in 1893 and boasts 6,615 square feet of space.
