Maharaj Indian Grill is planning to double its current Chicagoland locations by adding new locations in Elmhurst and Schaumburg.
The company, owned by Sonu Singh with the help of Chef Tirtha Shrestha and Chef Manoj, can be found in Chicago and Northbrook. Now Maharaj Indian Grill will be moving into a new 2,440 square-foot site that was once the former home of Uptown Eatery in Elmhurst, located at 117 N Addison Ave. Then the company will officially double its numbers with a new location coming to Schaumburg. Both sites will likely open by the end of the year, considering the company recently announced the third location on social media.
Although the Schaumburg location is unknown, the Elmhurst site will be perfect for the company. The area has almost no Indian restaurants, with an Indian grocery store nearby. Both locations are more inland than the current locations, creating a much larger presence throughout Chicagoland. The expansion proves the company to be one of the few growing Indian chain restaurants in the area.
When these two new locations open, customers can expect all the classic Indian dishes, with plenty of chicken, lamb, seafood, and vegetarian entrees. To complement all the delicious dishes, the restaurant also offers a variety of Indian bread, such as keema nan, paneer kulcha, pooeie, and parantha. To finish the meal, Maharaj Indian Grill offers plenty of sweet treats, including mango kulfi, gaajar halwa, kheer, and rasmalai.
