A representative of Indgo MRKTO was not immediately available to comment upon What Now Chicago’s request.
According to the article, Indgo MRKTO is shooting for an August debut. Amar Mansuria and DJ Charlie Glitch are behind the new concept.
“Mansuria ran a taqueria, Casa Indigo, along 18th Street. That space has closed, and in 2022 he announced Indigo, an ambitious fusion of Indian and Mexican cuisines with a tasting menu. He’s since evolved the project, now calling it Indgo MRKTO. Indgó MRKTO has a few components: Cafe Indgo is a continuation of his first restaurant with breakfast, lunch, and dinner (tacos, pancakes, pastries, and more). They’ll serve Sparrow Coffee.”
“A bar menu will include chicken 65 wings, based on the Indo-Chinese dish. Then there’s a ceviche bar called Ceviche Txoco with oysters and charcoal-grilled seafood. Mansuria hopes to debut some of the raw bar options at a block party on July 26 at the House of Sol party at the parking lot in front of the restaurant site.”
“DJ Charlie Glitch is part of the team and will help with cultural programming. Those two concepts will open first followed by a speakeasy-style bar called Lo Lo Antro. Finally, a bistro is in development which will showcase a combo of flavors, including more Indian-inspired items — the kitchen will sport both a tandoor and a comal.”
