According to a recent tweet from B Talent, Il Girasole Trattoria has filed for a new location at 2700 North Western Avenue.
A representative of Il Girasole Trattoria was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Chicago’s request.
While an official opening date and what Il Girasole Trattoria plans to offer has yet to be confirmed, according to the tweet, Il Girasole will be replacing what was formerly the Owen & Engine spot.
Il Girasole Trattoria was filed for under Il Girasole Trattoria LLC on October 27th, 2023. On Chicago’s business search, two managers are listed. Those two people are Rodolfo Hernandez Perez and Christian Hernandez Soto.
For the property itself, according to At Properties, the property was built in 2010, with approximately 3,100 rentable square feet.
The property listing describes the space as a “Great Logan Square second-generation restaurant space for lease. The space is a two story above grade space with a full basement. The location benefits from a complete in place restaurant buildout and a sizeable outdoor component.”
