At the same time, Block Club Chicago reports, the owners are busy working on a second space they purchased in October of last year.

5 Rabbit Ceverceria announced plans to shut down its 54,933 square-foot industrial warehouse in Bedford Park and gave Hop Butcher the opportunity to purchase it. Hop Butcher Co-owner Jeremiah Zimmer told Block Club Chicago the team has eventual plans to open something like a taproom at the warehouse, although for now they’re concentrating on getting the North Center space up and running.

The warehouse will also help Hop Butcher increase production. When the team first began, they relied on the facilities of other breweries to produce their own beer. The Bedford Park warehouse will allow the team to brew more on their own terms.
