The work described in the application is for the “interior demolition only in existing 2 story single tenant use restaurant building to prepare for new tenant buildout,” the work for which will be described under a separate permit.

What Now Chicago reached out to Gordon Ramsay North America, and the GRNA Media Team responded saying the company is not prepared to announce any new restaurants at this time. That said, the Chicago Sun Times reports Ramsay hinting at his future plans for the city.

Gordon Ramsay Burger opened at 2 E Ontario Street just last month. The casual restaurant seats 128 patrons and boasts a full bar. Only the third location in the world following Las Vegas and London, the Chicago spot serves butter-basted burgers and ketchup-topped dogs from a 5,000 square-foot space in River North.

508 N. State Street also sits squarely in River North, and the space last housed a location of Cantina Laredo.

GRNA Media says they will have more to announce soon, so stay tuned as we update this story when details become available about the Michelin-starred chef’s next Chicago move.
