A representative of Foxtrot was not immediately available to comment upon What Now Chicago’s request.
According to the article, “Further Point Acquisitions, the investment firm that bought Foxtrot’s assets at auction, recently applied for liquor licenses at the former Foxtrot locations in Wicker Park, 1722 W. Division St.; Fulton Market, 171 N. Green St.; Old Town, 1562 N. Wells St.; and Gold Coast, 23 W. Maple St.”
“Foxtrot founder Mike LaVitola previously told Block Club he plans to reopen 10 stores, starting with the locations in Old Town and Gold Coast, as the company attempts a comeback as a smaller chain.”
“LaVitola is returning to an executive position and working with Further Point Enterprises to lead Foxtrot’s revival after the chain abruptly closed all 33 of its stores, including 15 in Chicago, in April.”
“No news to share about opening dates yet,” a spokesperson said in an email Monday afternoon, according to the Block Club Chicago article. “We will have more info available in the coming weeks.”
