“We are thrilled to expand the Floyd’s footprint in the Chicago market,” says Bill O’Brien, co-founder of Floyd’s Barbershops in a statement. “It is a vibrant and multicultural city that takes pride in diversity which parallels the inclusivity that is representative of the Floyd’s brand.”

Each Floyd’s has its own vibe showcased by their exclusive hand-curated poster wall highlighting musical greats throughout the decades including local notables, such as Chicagoland greats like The Smashing Pumpkins and Wilco. The 1,300 square foot shop will feature 11 chair stations, retro industrial funk finishes, stainless steel countertops, black subway tile and Edison bulbs.

Floyd’s offers a full range of services including haircuts, shaving, color, waxing, deep conditioning treatments and styling as well as its own retail line of grooming products. In addition to traditional hair services, Floyd’s is known for its barbershop straight-razor neck shave with hot lather and steamed towels and a complimentary shoulder massage after each service. Floyd’s also has a line of grooming products that includes, 3-in-1 Revive Hair and Body Wash, 2-in-1 Refresh Leave-In Conditioner for Hair and Body, shampoo, conditioner, molding paste, styling cream, grip cream, texture powder, slick pomade and stronghold pomade. The newest additions to the grooming line feature a firm hold pomade, classic hold pomade and matte cream in collaboration with Suavecito as well as Floyd’s Rad.i.cle CBD scalp and hair shampoo, conditioner and treatment. Each of the grooming line products is DEA, sulfate and paraben-free.
