“DJ’s Great Room and Layla & Ringo’s should arrive in early 2025 in a sprawling development that cuts across River North, Old Town, and Gold Coast on the Moody Bible Institute’s campus. JDL Development’s North Union, a $1.3 billion, 8.1-acre development includes more than 2,600 residential units across seven high rises that occupy half of Moody Bible campus.”
“DJ’s Great Room will offer full-service dining. It features three parts. The Anteroom, loosely inspired by the entry area of RL (the Ralph Lauren-themed restaurant off the Mag Mile, not to be confused with RH), will be open earlier and will stay open a bit later.”
“It has its own bar menu and will also serve as a waiting area for guests going to the main dining space, called the Great Room. The third space is a private dining room. “Private dining is a big part of business nationally reflecting 50 percent of our revenue,” David Morton, the founder of Episcope, says in the Chicago Eater article.
Episcope’s website describes the new concept as being “Located at the base of 920 North Wells, DJ’s Great Room sits at the intersection of the River North, Old Town, and Gold Coast neighborhoods of Chicago. Whether it’s Monday or Saturday, early morning or late night, all-day menus cater to any occasion.”
“Upon entering DJ’s, The Anteroom boasts an expansive bar and stunning design. Continue to find the Great Room, a space conducive for entertaining friends, meeting coworkers, or dining with family. DJ’s Great Room is what a neighborhood eatery should be: the best room in the house.”
