While the location is new, Eden remains focused on using garden-fresh, seasonal ingredients from an expanded 20’ x 28’ on-site greenhouse, and partnerships with local farms. The bar program, developed by Alex Rydzewski, will feature both cocktails and mocktails, with a wine and spirits list highlighting small, woman-owned and minority-owned vineyards with bio-friendly and organic options. Offerings will also include Eden’s very own beer, made in partnership with Great Central Brewing Company. From the menu to the decor, a contemporary theme has been cultivated to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, combining design elements from the California coast and European cafes. The new location will have free parking and an on-site shop featuring hostess gifts, market items and home goods including candles, cookbooks, wine, beer, and more.

A tenet behind the menu development is the curation and selecting of ingredients by Partner/Chief Culinary Officer Devon Quinn and Executive Chef Miles Schaefer. With Eden’s on-site greenhouse and sourcing from local farmers and purveyors — access to the freshest and highest quality ingredients will allow the culinary team to produce simple, clean cuisine. Growing on-site ensures the use of all natural ingredients and the ability to harvest at optimal times to produce maximum flavor and freshness. The greenhouse will also allow the team to simulate seasonal conditions to produce bountiful yields all year round.

To supplement on-site production, Eden will source ingredients from local farms and purveyors like Green City Market, Froggy Meadow Farms, Nichols Farm & Orchard, and Iron Creek Farm. Eden is also a partner with Global Garden Refugee Training Farm, helping to improve access to fresh vegetables for refugee families and their urban neighbors. Global Garden provides land to newly arrived refugee farmers where they can grow food to feed themselves or sell at markets for supplemental income.

Eden is located at 2734 W Roscoe St, Chicago, IL, 60618. Breakfast service begins May 16 and will be served Monday through Friday from 7AM–11AM. Lunch service also begins May 16 and will be served Monday through Friday from 11PM–2PM. Dinner service begins May 25 and is served Wednesday through Saturday from 5PM–9PM (Friday and Saturday until 10PM) – with Happy Hour service Wednesday through Friday from 4PM–6PM.
