E-Sushi is a Chicago-based sushi restaurant established at 1750 West Golf Road in Mount Prospect, Illinois. Founded by restaurateurs Alex Tang and Li Hui Hung in 2020, the two have more than 20 years of Japanese experience between them. Both of them were employed at Sushi Para in Palatine, and Tang previously owned a Chinese takeout restaurant in Geneva.
Envisioned as a dine-in, all-you-can-eat concept, E-Sushi offers over 50 different varieties of high-quality Japanese sushi. The restaurant also offers classic vegetable rolls, fried rice, and hibachi and teriyaki dinners, served on a steaming plate. For lunch, E-Sushi offers a specialty lunch bento box and boasts a robust selection of sake for guests to enjoy with their sushi.
Now, two years after launching their first store, the E-Sushi team is ready for their first expansion. The new expansion will see the restaurant opening up at 20 Biesterfield Road, in Elk Grove, Illinois. E-Sushi will be joining the Jewel-Osco Shopping Complex and will be neighbored by recognizable brands like Panera Bread, Starbucks, Subway, and McDonald’s.
Offering a total 3,500 square feet of space, the new space is an impressive acquisition for the young restaurant. The project is still quite a ways away from opening as the team has only recently acquired the lease for the space, but while you wait you can check out their original location at Mount Prospect to get a sense of what to expect.
