The new culinary destination is much more than just a specialty market with fine produce and coffee. In addition to a tasting kitchen, the market also hosts movie nights, wine tastings, and chess club events. A recent Craigslist advertisement placed by the company describes the experience it’s aiming for: “At Dom’s, we plan on changing how customers experience and shop for fresh, locally sourced food both in-store and at home. Prioritizing a convenient customer experience while building brand loyalty, Dom’s is a technology-forward and omni-channel food concept.”

The market blends your specialty grocery shopping experience with a neighborhood café where you can meet a friend and enjoy a tasty, prepared meal. “Our globally-inspired menus feature handcrafted dishes made with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients we can find. We always source locally if possible, but our search for the finest flavor and character takes us around the world and back,” shares the company’s website.

According to The DePaulia, Dom’s is opting to open additional stores “in Chicagoland and beyond.” Co-owner Don Fitzgerald did not immediately respond for comment at the time of publication, so the opening timeline on these new stores and their exact locations remain unclear.
