Carmine’s, the upscale supper club found in Chicago’s Gold Coast at 1043 N. Rush Street, is getting ready to temporarily close down for building renovations.
Rosebud Restaurant Group, which operates Carmine’s, recently announced plans to temporarily close after a final dinner service on February 26 for a $4 million renovation that will take about 15 months. The new restaurant will feature over 10,000 square feet of dining space. It will also include an expansive, all-weather outdoor terrace overlooking Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood and multiple dining rooms and bar areas on the first floor. All of this is expected to be completed next summer.
“At Rosebud Restaurants, our customers are always a top priority,” Alex Dana, founder of Rosebud Restaurants, said in a press release. “This reconstruction will help us reach new levels of success when we reopen in 2024 by creating an even better, more memorable dining experience.”
Since opening in 1976, Rosebud Restaurants have expanded to nine locations across Chicago, and the surrounding suburbs, including one coming to Wheeling, except this one is owned by the Creative Hospitality Concepts Restaurant Group. All sites feature authentic Italian recipes, generous portions, and exceptional service. While the company plans to close down this location towards the end of the month, customers can still experience Rosebuds at one of their four other locations in Chicago.
