In honor of the opening, one lucky Big Wig fan will have the chance to win free burritos for a year with a purchase entry. Burrito lovers can enter to win by making a purchase at bigwigtacos.com from May 15th – June 1st. One winner will be chosen at random on June 30, 2023.

The 34-seat restaurant features a monochromatic look with an approachable edgy design. Design highlights include an exposed ceiling, raw steel, and a raw feel to the space. A local artist was tapped to create a mural on the one statement wall that brings great color to the space. An inviting sidewalk patio space also debuted on opening day.

The straightforward menu offers a selection of tacos, nachos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas, and bowls, along with the usual sides of guacamole and chips, rice and beans, and more. Beverages include fresh Horchata, Jamaica, and a variety of soft drinks.

In May 2017, River North Hospitality Group brought their brand of new fast-casual Mexican street fare to River North (770 N LaSalle). In 2020, the team successfully opened its second location in Logan Square (2490 N Milwaukee Ave).
