Mayor Lori Lightfoot recently introduced an ordinance that would vastly improve the food, beverage, and retail options in Terminals 3 and 5, according to Crain’s Chicago Business. Other restaurants and retailers included in the proposed deal include The Hampton Social, Butcher & the Burger, and Sparrow Coffee. This would become the third Bar Siena for DineAmic Hospitality Group, following a new location coming to Old Orchard in Skokie this summer. If approved, the new Bar Siena will open later this year.

In addition to the Chicago hospitality group, which also owns Siena Tavern, Lyra, and Prime & Provisions, Bar Siena will be operated by several others in a joint venture. Owners Luke Stoioff and David Rekhson will work with Chicago concessions company AirBrands, Chicago restaurant supply distributed Balton, and Coral Gables-based airport restaurant operator Master ConcessionsAir. Stoioff says he is excited about this possibility due to other operators’ success in the airport.

“We have been interested in pursuing a brand there for a long time,” Stoioff tells the publication. “The people of Chicago and the people of the U.S. that travel through O’Hare have been enjoying Bar Siena for many years, and we think it’ll be a nice addition to the whole renovation of Terminal 5.”
